Varelen Electric Co., Ltd

Rail Transit rectifier transformer

  • •Advanced insulation structure, able to withstand various overvoltage insulation shocks caused by harmonics
  • •High-performance silicon steel sheet, low working magnetic density design, withstand the effects of overvoltage and harmonics
  • •Strong harmonic suppression and good balance performance
  • •Using 12-pulse and 24-pulse phase-shifting rectification technology, the harmonic content is greatly reduced, reaching the latest level of current rail transit equipment
  • •High-winding leakage resistance, reducing the influence of higher harmonics on the power grid and other equipment; at the same time effectively suppressing the di/dt of the rectifier and protecting the rectifier

The traction rectifier is composed of a rectifier transformer and a rectifier. The main function: the AC incoming line voltage is stepped down by the rectifier transformer, and then the AC power is converted into the DC traction motor of the DC power supply vehicle through the rectifier;

 In order to improve the power quality of the direct current and reduce the pulsation (fluctuation) of the direct current power supply, a multi-phase rectification method is generally adopted, which may be six-phase, twelve-phase rectification or twenty-four-phase rectification

The rectifier transformer not only acts as a step-down, but also turns the three-phase alternating current into a multi-phase alternating current for rectifier rectification.

FACTORY TEST

For each transformer are prepared and issued a test report, in accordance with IEC 60076. except for routine tests, we also offer type tests and specialised tests to meet all customer requirements. We make what matters work for our customers in a safe and reliable way.
