VPI Dry Transformer

Split-Phase Dry-Type Auxiliary Transformer for Renewable Energy Systems
Designed to provide reliable 120/240V or 240/480V auxiliary power for solar PV plants, battery energy storage systems, wind farms and hybrid renewable-energy projects. Its dry-type, VPI construction eliminates oil leakage risks while providing a compact, low-maintenance and environmentally friendly power solution. 
 
 

Why split-phase dry type is attractive

1. Split-phase output
A common configuration such as 240V → 120/240V provides both 120 V and 240 V loads from one transformer.

2. Dry-type construction
No insulating oil means:

  • Easier indoor/container installation
  • Lower environmental concerns

3. Compact auxiliary-power solution
Renewable projects often have many relatively small auxiliary loads. A split-phase transformer can provide a dedicated auxiliary supply without installing a large oil-immersed transformer.

With appropriate enclosure, insulation and protection, the transformer can be designed for outdoor renewable-energy installations, inverter rooms and BESS containers.

 
Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) technology
it is a specialized process for insulating, bonding, and strengthening electrical components to improve their performance and useful life. Both high-voltage and low-voltage coils are treated with the VPI (Vacuum Pressure impregnation) process. Both ends of the coil are end-sealed to ensure that there is no air gap in the insulation system, thereby enhancing the dielectric strength and short-circuit resistance.
